Ten percent of every trip with WOW Safaris goes to providing scholarships for future women leaders in Africa. Outstanding women who are from war torn and economically devastated countries will be given the opportunity to study at Africa International University (formerly NEGST) one of Africa’s premier faith-based colleges. They will receive a world class education that is infused with high standards of integrity,and leadership. In the unique contest of Africa’s realities these resourceful women, seeking solutions, will find an environment conducive to problem solving and strategy seeking. The January 2010 Kilimanjaro Climb is specifically organized to help raise $1 million for a new Community and Women’s Center at the University. As the school has grown it has become more urgent for the community to have a place to meet, network and engage in their community and their studies. When opportunities arise to host international guests who can address African and global issues, we need a place to host and benefit from these guests.
